Auction house can access the WoW Companion app

It has been a long time since the auction house has been seen by the mobile user, but it is finally available for return. This is part of the WoW Companion app with patch 9.2.7.

The story is a bit short.

The Remote Auction House was once a member of the WoW Armory app released in 2011 and retired in 2018. Due to the way this app was built, many people would abuse the architecture of this app, often changing the economy of the player and even causing latency. In the field. This is mainly due to the number of requests that could flood the auction house due to the tense server load, and therefore the increased demand load for the heavy load. While we could and often did, the negative impact of those who sought to exploit the system outweighed continuing to support ongoing development.

As part of the change in direction, we continued to develop the WoW Companion app, which provides a more secure experience more in line with the specialized gear your character plays today.

Modern Times simulates the Apenthesis, to make you feel good.

In our previous engineering workshop covering WoW Companion app development, we looked at the challenges of mobile and PC integration and developed a system simultaneously. The biggest barrier to implementing new functionality was the structure of the tools needed to support that functionality. Many of these frameworks were written over the years of World of Warcraft history at a time when mobile wasn’t a big deal. This has started pushing computer to modernize systems to support both PC and mobile.

Data delivery methods and phone restrictions seem different. Although one system can be used to provide the same set of data to both, ensuring minimal access to mobile devices is essential for players to download a player.

Since the Auction House was a very important feature, there were and are many other frameworks that would need to be carefully modernized to support both experiences.

Start the future for now.

When we saw the app as part of the WoW Companion app, we asked about the structure we could put in place for now, and what that would mean for the immediate functionality of the hotel des sales, from its launch. To do this, we took the time to better understand the people who used the auction house and what they were used for. We identified the different archetypes and what was possible for each user group within a reasonable time frame.

We decided, let alone create something that would be useful for average and casual gamers who regularly use the auction house for more common purchases, like planning dungeons and raids or finding additional items for their collections.

The Remote Auction House was never intended to be a go-to tool for hardcore traders. In many cases, these users were already using additional or external tools to maximize their trading beyond what the app could provide. Keeping that in mind, the new app update is a tool for players to make purchases, view sales, and more. We were hoping to give an auction house experience a better time, and provide an experience that stays put, so we were excluded from the list of items for sale.

What can you do?

In addition to the latest Worldcomplete app, players can:

  • Look for current auctions and click on them.
  • Bid and buy auctions.
  • Search listings.
  • Add and remove all items from your favorites list.
  • Click or cancel listed auctions.

And after?

We want to start on foot, as well as the introduction of cross-faction in Update 9.2.5. This is usable to better predict how players are using the app, better analyze impact and risk, and then introduce more as it is reasonable and fits into our development structure.

We hope this new addition to the WoW Companion app will enhance your stay in Azeroth. We hope you will receive positive feedback from you.
